About these terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Job Wingman website, client portal, intake forms and related online services, and the job-search support services we provide. Job Wingman is a service of Job Wingman LTD (“Job Wingman”, “we”, “us” or “our”), a company registered in Nigeria (RC 8203576).

If you buy a Job Wingman service, you also accept a Client Service Agreement: the written terms for your package, including its scope, price and payment schedule. If these Terms and your Client Service Agreement conflict, the Client Service Agreement controls for your paid service.

Acceptance of these terms

By using our website, creating an account, submitting an intake or contact form, or otherwise using our services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the relevant service.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a binding agreement to use Job Wingman’s client services. You may not use the service on behalf of another person unless you are legally authorized to do so and we have agreed to that arrangement.

What Job Wingman does

Depending on the service you buy, Job Wingman may help you to: define your job-search strategy and criteria; record your professional experience; prepare, adapt or organize application materials such as your resume; identify job opportunities that match your preferences; submit job applications on your behalf; contact recruiters or employers about your applications; organize and track your job-search activity; and receive related support.

Job Wingman is not a recruitment or staffing agency. We act for job seekers, not employers, and we do not place candidates in jobs. The exact scope, duration, payment terms, application numbers and other commercial terms of a paid service are set out in your order and Client Service Agreement.

Consultations, orders and prices

Our services begin with a consultation. Afterwards, we may recommend a package and send you its details, price, payment schedule and Client Service Agreement in writing. We do not publish package prices on our website. A recommendation is not a binding order until you accept the Client Service Agreement and make the first payment it requires.

We may decline to provide a service, for example where we do not believe we can help, or where providing it would breach these Terms or the law.

Payment

You agree to pay for your services as set out in your Client Service Agreement, including any deposit and instalments. Payments are processed by third-party payment providers, whose terms may also apply to your payment. Cancellations and refunds are governed by our Refund and Cancellation Policy and your Client Service Agreement. How and when services are delivered is described in our Service Delivery Policy.

Authorization to act on your behalf

Some services require us to take actions for you, such as submitting applications, entering information into job-application systems, communicating through authorized channels, or accessing accounts you have chosen to delegate. We will only do so within the scope of your service and the permissions you give us.

We may rely on your intake selections, written instructions, approvals and account preferences when performing your service. You may change or revoke an authorization, but doing so may affect our ability to continue all or part of the service. Revocation does not reverse applications or communications completed before the change was put in place.

Your information must be accurate

You are responsible for giving information that is truthful, accurate, current and complete to the best of your knowledge. This includes your employment history, education, qualifications, certifications, work authorization, compensation, dates, accomplishments, identity and answers to employer screening questions.

We may help organize, rewrite, summarize or present the information you give us, but we are entitled to rely on the underlying facts you provide. Please tell us promptly if you find that information used in your job search is inaccurate or has materially changed.

Job Wingman will not knowingly fabricate credentials, employment history, qualifications, licenses, education, work authorization or other material facts on your behalf.

Voluntary demographic and EEO questions

Some employers ask voluntary self-identification or equal employment opportunity questions. If you give us answers or preferences for these questions, we may use them to complete applications according to your instructions. We will not intentionally infer an answer from unrelated information about you. Where available, you may instruct us to select “prefer not to answer”, leave an optional question blank, or use the response you provided.

Account access and credentials

You may choose to authorize Job Wingman to access certain email accounts, job boards, professional platforms or other services reasonably necessary for your job search. You are responsible for making sure you are permitted to give that access, and you must not give access to an account that belongs to someone else unless you are authorized to do so.

Where possible, we use delegated access, permissions or other access methods rather than shared passwords. You may revoke access at any time, although some services may not be possible afterwards.

Third-party platforms

We interact with third-party websites, employer systems, applicant tracking systems, job boards, email services, professional networks and other platforms while providing services. They are run by independent third parties with their own terms, policies, technical limits and account rules.

Job Wingman does not control whether a third party accepts or rejects an application; whether a platform changes its features or access rules; how an employer or recruiter processes submitted information; whether a job posting remains available or accurate; whether an employer responds, interviews or hires you; or third-party outages, restrictions, account actions or technical failures. You remain subject to the terms of any third-party account or platform you use.

No employment or interview guarantee

Job Wingman provides job-search support. We do not control hiring decisions. Unless your Client Service Agreement expressly states otherwise, we do not guarantee:

  • a particular number of interviews, offers, recruiter responses or callbacks;
  • that you will be employed, or at a particular compensation level;
  • that an employer will review an application;
  • that a job posting is legitimate, current or still available; or
  • any immigration, sponsorship, licensing or work-authorization outcome.

We do not provide immigration, legal, tax or financial advice.

AI, automation and software-assisted work

We may use software, automation or AI-assisted tools to support parts of our work, including job discovery, drafting, summarization, matching, organization, quality checks and administration. These tools can produce inaccurate or incomplete output. We use human review, quality controls, client approvals or other safeguards depending on the task. You remain responsible for promptly correcting any inaccurate factual information about you. How we handle personal information with technology providers is described in our Privacy Policy.

Your content

You keep ownership of the original documents, materials, information and content you provide to us, subject to any rights held by third parties.

You give Job Wingman a limited, non-exclusive right to access, copy, format, modify, transmit and otherwise use that content only as reasonably necessary to provide the service you requested, prepare and submit applications, communicate with you or authorized third parties, keep service records, comply with law, and protect our legal rights. This permission lasts as long as reasonably necessary for those purposes and is subject to our Privacy Policy and applicable law.

Job Wingman materials and intellectual property

Our website, client portal, workflows, templates, software, branding, processes, documentation and other proprietary materials belong to Job Wingman or its licensors unless stated otherwise. You may use them only for your personal use of the Job Wingman service. You may not copy, resell, reverse engineer, scrape, reproduce, distribute, publish or commercially exploit them except with our written permission or where the law expressly allows.

Once your services are paid in full, the resume and other materials we create for you are yours to use. Nothing in these Terms stops you from using your own resume, cover letters or personal career materials.

Acceptable use

You may not use Job Wingman’s website or services to:

  • impersonate another person or submit knowingly false or fraudulent information;
  • seek employment through deception about a material qualification;
  • gain unauthorized access to any account or system;
  • interfere with the security or operation of our website, portal or forms, or introduce malware;
  • scrape, copy or exploit our systems without authorization;
  • send spam or abusive messages through our forms;
  • break the law; or
  • direct our personnel to do anything we reasonably believe is unlawful, fraudulent, abusive or materially misleading.

We may refuse or suspend activity that we reasonably believe breaches these Terms, a Client Service Agreement, third-party platform rules or the law.

Privacy and communications

How we collect and use personal information is described in our Privacy Policy. By using our services, you understand that your information may need to be shared with employers, recruiters, job platforms, Job Wingman personnel and service providers to perform your requested service. Where separate consent is required, we will ask for it separately.

You agree that we may send you service-related messages about your account, applications, approvals, billing, security, service changes or support. Marketing messages, if any, are handled separately, with an opt-in or opt-out where the law requires it.

Suspension and termination

We may suspend or restrict access to our website, portal or services where reasonably necessary for security, suspected fraud, misuse, non-payment, material breach, legal compliance, or the protection of Job Wingman, our clients or third parties. Ending a paid service is governed mainly by your Client Service Agreement and our Refund and Cancellation Policy. After a service ends, some information may be kept as described in our Privacy Policy.

Service availability

We aim to keep our website and portal available and working, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access. We may update, maintain, change, suspend or replace features. We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control, including internet outages, third-party service failures, platform changes, cybersecurity incidents affecting third parties, natural disasters, labour disruptions or government actions.

Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our website, portal and general online services are provided on an “as available” basis. We do not warrant that every job identified will be suitable; that every third-party posting is accurate or legitimate; that an application will be reviewed; that a third-party platform will remain accessible; that using the service will produce a particular career outcome; or that software-assisted or AI-assisted output will always be error-free. Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Job Wingman is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages arising from use of our website, portal or services. We are not responsible for hiring decisions, employer or recruiter conduct, decisions of independent third-party platforms, or how employers or other third parties process information after it has been submitted to them.

Any limitation or cap on liability in your Client Service Agreement applies to your paid service. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded.

Responsibility for misuse

To the extent permitted by law, you are responsible for losses, claims or costs arising from your intentional misuse of our systems, your knowing submission of materially false information, your unauthorized use of another person’s account, or your material breach of these Terms. This does not require you to cover losses caused by Job Wingman’s own unlawful conduct or fraud, or any liability that cannot legally be shifted to you.

Governing law

Unless your Client Service Agreement says otherwise, these Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles, except where mandatory law in your place of residence applies. Subject to any mandatory rights you have and any different dispute provision in a Client Service Agreement, disputes relating solely to these Terms are subject to the jurisdiction of the appropriate courts in Lagos State, Nigeria.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will show a new “Last updated” date. If a change materially affects an existing paid service, any notice or consent requirements in your Client Service Agreement or the law also apply. Continuing to use our website or services after updated Terms take effect means you accept them, where the law allows.

General

  • Severability. If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest continues in effect as far as the law allows.
  • No waiver. If we do not enforce a provision straight away, we have not given up the right to enforce it later.
  • Whole agreement and order of precedence. These Terms, our policies and any Client Service Agreement form the agreement between you and Job Wingman on the matters they cover. If they conflict, the Client Service Agreement controls for the paid service; a specific written authorization or instruction controls for the activity it covers; and these Terms control general use of our website and portal.
